New England Revolution coach Steve Nicol says Fulham attacker Clint Dempsey deserves the Champions League stage.

Liverpool legend Nicol said: "Physically Clint's a horse, but that wouldn't do justice to the ability he has and actual football brain he has. The guy's got ability, and he's really single minded. Every training session is a cup of final to him."
