Liverpool legend Steve McManaman has hit out at Chelsea's style of play.Jose Mourinho hit back at Chelsea's critics this week after a 0-0 draw at Arsenal arguing that his tactics brought success.
But McManaman said on BT Sport: "Bit of a turn off? Yes. Would I want to play in this side? Yes I would, I would love to play in this side, because if it means you are winning the Barclays Premier League, I would love to play in this side. Are they a turn off? I think they are.
"I admire Chelsea and I respect Chelsea, but I don't like the way they play I must admit. I think recent games where they just got results, I think the Champions of this country should have a little bit more about them."
McManaman, who won the European Cup with Real Madrid in 2000, continued: "When I look around Europe and see how other teams play their style of football. I think Real Madrid fans wouldn't put up with that type of performance. I think Barcelona wouldn't and I certainly think Bayern Munich wouldn't."
