Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has rapped fans over the anti-Brendan Rodgers banner yesterday.

A 'Rodgers out, Rafa in' banner was flown over Anfield during victory against QPR.

Lawrenson wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "As for that banner before the game, it wasn't Mrs Benitez who arranged it, was it?

"If it was done for a laugh, then fair play. But otherwise, what a waste of money.

"Benitez is been and done and that's the end of it. He's not coming back. Ever.

"People have this love affair with Benitez but by the end of his reign be was becoming a bit too big for the club."
