Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has already settled on his assistant coach at Brisbane Roar.

Sky Sports says former Everton midfielder Tony Grant will be Fowler's assistant at Brisbane Roar.

This will be Fowler's first managerial job, discounting the short period in which he was acting head coach while still a player at Muangthong United in Thailand in 2011-12.

Grant, 44, made 54 appearances for the Blues during the 90's.
