Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler can see Robin van Persie leaving Manchester United in the summer. And he says Wayne Rooney is sure to benefit.
"When Rooney and RVP were playing together it was a bit of a mix-match," Fowler told talkSPORT. "They weren't getting results.
"Since RVP has been injured and out of the side, Rooney seems to have upped his game.
"I really rate Rooney and think he could play as a lone striker, he can play with anyone. He can play a multitude of roles.
"It wouldn't surprise me if Van Persie left in the summer."
