Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish says Juan Mata alone won't be able to arrest Manchester United's slide.
Dalglish wrote in the Mirror: "Juan Mata is a very good player but he is not going to be able to turn everything around by himself at Manchester United.
"This is not an Eric Cantona situation in which a fine player comes into a side that is already signed, sealed and settled. United are a long way away from that at the moment and I think David Moyes needs to get another three or four players in.
"Some are saying that attacking midfielder Mata isn't the kind of player United need. I don't agree with that. You can't always get the players you want in the order that you want them in.
"So even if Mata was not top of the list for United, once he became available, I'm not surprised they made a move for him."
