Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher fears for Aston Villa after defeat last night to QPR.
This is the first time in the club's long history that they have lost five straight games without scoring a goal.
Carragher said: "They are a club over the last couple of years, even before Paul Lambert's time - maybe in Gerard Houllier's time and even Alex McLeish's time - that were teetering on the edge in terms of relegation.
"You never quite believe they will go down and I think the same this season, but if they continue with those stats in the league for goals and chances then you are going to end up down or really having a fight on your hands.
"More often than not in the last couple of years they've done enough to get out of it. Gerard Houllier made a huge signing a couple of years ago, bringing Darren Bent in, and Christian Benteke has made an influence in the last couple of years late on in seasons.
"But if those stats continue to stay like that they are going to get dragged down there."
