Liverpool legend Carragher dismisses Origi as attacking option

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has dismissed Divock Origi as an attacking option.

Origi has scored some important goals for Liverpool during his time at Anfield, but has struggled for regular game time this season.

Carragher believes the reason Origi isn't always picked is simply because he lacks the quality needed to play in Jurgen Klopp's side.

He told the Super Six podcast: “If you look at Liverpool's attacking players they don't have a striker. Jota is not a striker, same with Mane, same with Salah.

“They have Divock Origi but he's nowhere near good enough. And he a lot of the time plays out wide, because he can't play as a centre-forward."
