Liverpool legend Aldo returns to Real Sociedad

Liverpool legend John Aldridge is in San Sebastian this weekend.

The former Real Sociedad striker is in Spain as a film is made over his career.

He arrived in the Basque country in 1989 from Liverpool where he notched up 64 goals in 104 matches. He netted a respectable 40 times in 75 outings for Real Sociedad.

"My best sporting memories from Real Sociedad were our victories over Real Madrid," recalled Aldridge during an interview with Diario Vasco.

Aldo will take in La Real's game with Espanyol and Bixio Górriz, the president of the club's Veterans' Association, will give his former teammate a memento in the directors' box at the Anoeta before kickoff.

Aldridge will take to the pitch at half time to greet the supporters.
