Liverpool legend John Aldridge has big concerns over the form of Mario Balotelli. Without a goal in the Premier League since joining from AC Milan in the summer, the Italian missed an open net during the 3-2 victory over rock-bottom QPR on Sunday.
"The only positive that can come from Balotelli's performance in West London is that he will never play as badly again," wrote Aldridge in his column for the Liverpool Echo.
"I believe that Brendan Rodgers kept him on because by dragging him off it would've simply underlined how poor his performance had been.
"Hopefully now Balotelli has bottomed out because if he keeps playing like this then it will become a real problem."
