Liverpool are chasing Sporting Lisbon winger Diego Capel. The Mirror says the Spain international could be available for just £5m in the winter window because his club are battling financial problems.
Brendan Rodgers' Anfield giants have been watching developments closely.
Capel, 25, joined Sporting in 2011 after seven years with Spanish side Sevilla.
He was linked with the Kop club and Tottenham ahead of this summer's transfer window.
