Liverpool icon John Barnes wasn't surprised by Darren Bent's omission from England's World Cup squad.

The Sunderland striker was left out by Fabio Capello.

Ex-Three Lions winger Barnes said: "We get caught up in how many strikers to take but no other country in the world will take more than four. I wouldn't have taken five."
