Liverpool hero Jan Molby is convinced of big things from Mario Balotelli.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers' £16million purchase of Balotelli from AC Milan was questioned by some sections of the Anfield faithful because of his colourful past.
But Molby told the Daily Star Sunday: "Balotelli has started his Liverpool career with a smile on his face, is working hard for the team - and I think he will be appreciated and revered by Reds fans looking for anew hero after Suarez's exit.
"I don't think I've ever seen a player create such a stir when he has signed for Liverpool than Balotelli.
"It's a bit of a phenomenon and I have to say I like the look of him in a red kit.
"Liverpool fans have a history of making a connection in the past with what I suppose you would call quirky characters.
"Men like Joey Jones and Bruce Grobbelaar were a bit different and loved by the fans for it."
