Liverpool great Rush: Wales do not fear Scotland at all

Wales legend Ian Rush does not feel that Scotland have enough firepower to really worry Chris Coleman's men.

The Dragons take on Gordon Strachan's Scots at Hampden Park in World Cup qualifying on Friday and former Liverpool star Rush is confident that the Welsh defence can breathe easy ahead of the Group A meeting.

"There are none, really. I don't think that Scotland are going to score three or four goals in a game," he said.

"It will be one or maybe two if they can.

"They are a workmanlike team. There is not one player you can say is outstanding.

"With Gordon Strachan in there now, he will just be trying to get them to work as a team.

"But Wales have got Gareth Bale, Craig Bellamy and also Aaron Ramsey. They can take the game to Scotland as individual talents.

"Scotland are more of a workmanlike side who have to grind out results, with some young players coming through.

"The first thing Chris Coleman will be doing is making sure Wales keep a clean sheet - because we have got players at the other end capable of scoring.

"I think Wales have more skilful players than Scotland."
