Liverpool legend Ian Rush feels that the club needs a 'marquee' striker signing who can recapture the imagination of the Anfield faithful.
The signing of Italian striker Mario Balotelli has proved to be a failure for the Reds and manager Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for a new attacker which Rush feels is absolutely vital for his old club.
"What Liverpool have missed [this season] is strikers," Rush told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT.
"When we had Suarez we were letting goals in but we were scoring more. Sturridge has also been injured this season.
"I think Liverpool are looking at least one marquee striker. We need someone to get the fans going and get people believing again."
