Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is training with Championship club Blackpool ahead of a possible return to English football.
The 36-year old striker has spent the past few years in Australia and Thailand but is likely to be given another opportunity to play in England with the Seasiders confirming their interest on Twitter.
"No deal has yet been agreed, but Ian Holloway revealed in his press conference that the striker has impressed and is close to full fitness.""Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has trained with the club today, with a view to signing a permanent deal," read a statement on the club's official page of the social networking site.
Some reports have suggested that Fowler was set to make his Blackpool debut in tomorrow night's home clash with Hull City but the club added that he would not be playing in the Bloomfield Road fixture.
"Contrary to some reports, Fowler would not be available for Friday's game, should he sign a deal," the club added.
