Liverpool are not interested in signing Besiktas defender Dorukhan Tokoz this summer.

The defensive midfielder,who can also operate at right-back, impressed for Besiktas last season and broke into the Turkish national team earlier this year.

Reports have suggested Tokoz could be brought in by Jurgen Klopp to add depth to his squad.

The Liverpool Echo claims those reports are wide of the mark, with the 23-year-old not even registering on the Reds' radar.

The same can be said for Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, who has been tipped to replace Simon Mignolet.
