Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold has rejected criticism of Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.

De Bruyne has been blamed for Belgium's World Cup flop after declaring the team "too old" to win the tournament

"In my opinion, he is the world's best midfielder right now, no doubt," Alexander-Arnold told talkSPORT.

"He is moving into the top three list of the best midfields ever in the Premier League.

"I've never seen a player create as many chances as him. He is sure to be remembered as one of the best midfielders ever in the Premier League."
