Liverpool and Everton are battling for Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark Beevers.

The Sunday Mirror says the Owls will demand at least £3million for their 18-year-old centre back - but that will not scare off either of the rival Merseyside bosses.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has had Barnsley-born Beevers watched consistently over the past three months, while Everton chief David Moyes has been tracking the 6ft 4in starlet for much of the season.
