Liverpool duo Alexander-Arnold, Keita withdrawn from international duty

Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita have both been withdrawn from international duty.

England right-back Alexander-Arnold was forced to miss Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final win over Nottingham Forest due to a back injury.

He was set to play for the Three Lions in friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast.

For Keita, the Guinean Football Federation has reported today that the midfielder is set to miss their forthcoming fixtures due to a knee complaint.

It is welcome news for Liverpool fans as they need as many healthy players as possible heading into the pointy end of the season.

Having already won the Carabao Cup, the Reds are still alive in the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League.
