Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk expects Erling Haaland to star with Manchester City this season.

Van Dijk spoke with VG after Liverpool's Community Shield victory yesterday.

"Haaland has many qualities. He will make the life of defenders in England horrible. He is so direct," said Van Dijk.

"He has everything. He can head the ball. He is fast."

The Dutchman continued: "I don't really want to give him too much advice, but he knows he has to focus on his own game. There will be pressure on players who come with a big price tag, but what can you do about it? He just has to stay focused, work hard and try to score as many goals as possible for City."
