Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel admits his dream of featuring in Brazil 2014 is slipping away, reports the club's official website. Slovakia could have boosted their chances of World Cup qualification with the home clash against Lithuania at the weekend, but a 1-1 draw has left them third in Group G - five points behind leaders Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Skrtel reflected: "It is a pity and we are really disappointed.

"We could have and should have won since we had five to six really good chances to score. I don't know what happened.

"We knew what to expect from them and the loss of points is not good for us. It will be very hard now to progress."
