Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg is happy with his loan move to Preston North End.
The Dutchman has joined Preston to the end of the season.
"I was supposed to be loaned out in the summer. Liverpool thinks it's important that I experience senior football. I agreed, I feel I need this," he said.
"Despite the steps I have already taken, I am now making even more progress. I am entering a fantastic league, with many games. I hope to do well here. In the summer I will go back to Liverpool and see if I'm ready to be among the top four centre backs."
Van den Berg also told De Telegraaf: "In my first year at Liverpool I had to acclimatise. I have only got better, I have really taken steps physically. Everything was of course much more physical and went much faster than I was used to in my time at PEC Zwolle."
