Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren lifted the lid on how manager Jurgen Klopp transformed the club's culture when he arrived four years' ago.
Speaking after their 4-1 Champions League win over Genk on Wednesday, Lovren, someone who was there at the start of Klopp's reign, lifted the lid on the early days.
"Four years already? I'm getting old," Lovren said. "We started to believe when he said, "From doubters to believers" (a declaration made by Klopp at his managerial unveiling).
"He changed things in the club, from small details like saying "good morning" to everyone to cleaning your table. Some part of these details are missing in some clubs.
"It is simple things. It is about the food, he brought in people who are the best in these positions, and he knows what he is doing.
"We are, I think, raised at my age that when you see an older person you will say "good morning". It is about respect. When you have this outside of the pitch you will feel it also on the pitch."
On whether Klopp ever had to tell him off for not putting his plates away, Lovren added: "No! I was raised to clean my table! He didn't have to tell me."
