Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher rates the Champions League as the highest standard of football available.
Carragher believes the Champions League is probably a higher standard of football than the World Cup.
"It's something we talk about all the time," said the Liverpool defender, who confessed in his autobiography that he would rather miss a penalty for England than his club.
"Champions League is the highest level because teams can go and buy whoever they want. The latter stages of the Champions League is the better spectacle.
"Most players play better for their clubs because they're used to it. I think Barcelona would give Brazil and Spain a game.
"But the pressure of playing for country is more intense because you're going onto the pitch representing everyone.
"Look at Robert Green. If you make a mistake like that for your club there wouldn't be so much scrutiny."
