Liverpool see Olympiacos striker Kostas Mitroglou as a replacement for Luis Suarez. The Daily Star says Brendan Rodgers had scouts in the stands to watch him against Romania this week and they were impressed enough to now be preparing a bid.
But worryingly for Liverpool fans, sources in Spain claim Mitroglou is Liverpool's replacement for Suarez.
Suarez's future remains in doubt despite Rodgers insisting the striker is going nowhere.
But it appears Anfield chiefs are preparing for the worst.
Arsenal are also interested in Mitroglou and they could rival Liverpool for his services.
