Liverpool have been in contact with AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri. Leggo says Ranieri has held formal discussions with Liverpool about returning to England at the end of the season.
Former Chelsea boss Ranieri feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League and has spoken openly of returning to England.
Ranieri would be free to leave Roma in June and could succeed Kenny Dalglish at Anfield.
His departure would also open the door for Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti to fulfil an ambition of taking charge of Roma.
