Liverpool have completed the protracted £7 million signing of Udinese left-back Andrea Dossena.

The left-back, 26, had been expected to make the move to Anfield for some time.

And after sealing the signing Swiss right-back Philipp Degen yesterday, Kop boss Rafael Benitez has made his second acquisition in as many days.

Like Degen, Dossena has signed a four-year deal and replaces Norwegian John Arne Riise who left for Roma last month.

He joins for an undisclosed fee thought to be around £7million. Degen joined on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
