Liverpool are in talks to sell Jordan Williams today.

The Liverpool Echo says Williams is set to leave the club permanently prior to tonight's transfer deadline.

Charlton Athletic are leading the chase for the 21-year-old with fellow League One outfit MK Dons having also made an approach to sign the Welshman.

Williams is out of contract this summer and his seven-year stay with the Reds is coming to an end.

The Bangor-born youngster, who was signed from Wrexham, made one first-team appearance for Liverpool against Middlesbrough in the League Cup in September 2014 and scored in the penalty shoot-out triumph.
