Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will insist Mario Balotelli live on Merseyside. The AC Milan striker will complete his move today.
Rodgers does not want Balotelli to settle back in the plush Manchester suburb, where he lived during his colourful career with Manchester City, says the Mirror.
The fire brigade had to be called to his luxury pad in 2011 when fireworks were set off in his bathroom, while he liked racing quad bikes in the landscaped back garden.
Rodgers is keen for Balotelli to live close to his new Reds team-mates to keep him within their sphere of influence and to curb such excesses.
The Irishman feels he can control him because of the strong spirit and discipline he has engendered in the Liverpool dressing room.
Rodgers was impressed by Balotelli's attitude when he met the Italy striker for two hours on Friday evening and believes him when he says he wants to be a success at Anfield.
Liverpool will begin assessing Balotelli's fitness tomorrow and they hope he can be part of the squad for Sunday's game at Tottenham.
