Liverpool hero Jan Molby has urged Brendan Rodgers to keep faith with Iago Aspas.
The striker has been linked with Swansea City this month.
A loan move would suit Aspas, who signed for £8million in the summer but Molby told the Daily Star Sunday: "I'm not sure what that proves.
"Being sent out on loan is usually the second-to-last move before a player is sold so I'm not sure there is any benefit in that.
"And Brendan is not in a position where he can afford to let players leave."
