Liverpool are chasing Cardiff City captain Steven Caulker.
WalesOnline says he is on Liverpool's radar after manager Brendan Rodgers was stopped from swooping for Caulker upon his arrival at Anfield with Spurs unwilling to sell to a top-six rival when the now 22-year-old finished his Swansea City loan spell.
Although accepting Caulker will not want to play Championship football, Cardiff will want to try and recoup the £9m they paid out to Tottenham last summer.
