Liverpool boss Rodgers sees Mkhitaryan as Gerrard successor

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is reviving his interest for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Mkhitaryan's agent Mino Raiola has hinted he expects the midfielder to leave at the end of the season.

BILD says Liverpool are looming as a likely destination, with Rodgers eyeing the Armenian as a replacement for Steven Gerrard.

Gerrard will leave Liverpool at season's end for LA Galaxy.

Mkhitaryan, meanwhile, has been a target for Rodgers for the past three years.
