Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers defended Simon Mignolet after their 2-2 draw at Champions League opponents Ludogorets. Rodgers refused to blame Mignolet for the opening goal despite the goalkeeper, who has been criticised all season for a series of unconvincing performances, fumbling a shot.
"It was disappointing for the team to go a goal behind so early on but thankfully it didn't cost us," he said.
"The pitch was difficult tonight for players and the goalkeepers and it was especially bobbly around the 18-yard box.
"The players showed character to come back and not let it affect them."
