Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is convinced he can build an exciting team with the addition of January signings.

Rodgers was speaking after their 1-1 draw against Newcastle United.

"If we can add to the group, you can see the excitement in our team. We have got a lot of young players, the senior players have been fantastic.

"For now we'll keep plugging away and working hard."
