Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is chasing Chelsea fullback Ashley Cole. The Daily Star says the England and Chelsea star looks set to be available on a free transfer this summer.
Rodgers is a big fan of the left-back Cole, who he knows from his time at Chelsea, where he worked as youth team coach and reserve manager, before moving to Watford in 2008.
Cole's future at Stamford Bridge is looking in increasing doubt with the 33-year-old being marginalised by boss Jose Mourinho, who has preferred to play right-back Cesar Azpilicueta out of position instead.
Cole would be a boost to Rodger's exciting title-chasing squad.
