Liverpool boss Klopp warns Robertson: You can do better

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was unhappy with Andrew Robertson after their 1-0 win at Tottenham.

Roberto Firmino scored the only of the goal of the game during the first half as the Reds extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 16 points.

Although Robertson is often praised for the quality of his delivery, the German highlighted a particular occasion when the defender should have done better.

"There was one team that deserved to win today and it was us," Klopp told Sky Sports after the final whistle. "Away at Tottenham, that is pretty special.

"But the game wasn't decided after 50 or 60 minutes was of course our fault.

"We had big chances and didn't score with them and we had situations where there weren't even chances.

"Towards the end, we had Robbo [Robertson] on the touchline completely free and had players completely free in the box and hit the first defender… that should be a big chance.

"Let's try it at least and we can still miss it."
