Liverpool icon Roberto Firmino has earned huge praise from his manager this week.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was not afraid to lavish praise on the departing Firmino as the season nears its conclusion.

The Brazilian scored a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa before saying goodbye to the home fans.

“You are so football smart, in training sessions you are the first to get the exercise," Klopp began during a leaving party for Firmino.

“It's like you saw it once: 'Ah, okay, go for it'. It's really special and it makes you the player you are, with all the technical stuff, but your football brain is incredible.

“That's all good and makes you the player you are."
