Liverpool boss Klopp: Sensational Wijnaldum always completely committed

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has paid tribute to Gini Wijnaldum as his contract runs down.

The 30-year-old's contract expires at the end of June with no resolution made between the midfielder and the Merseyside club, meaning Wijnaldum could play his last Liverpool game at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Speaking about Wijnaldum's future the German told a pre-match press conference on Friday: "There's nothing to say in this moment because we have a game to play.

"We will see Sunday after the final whistle and the time after that. There's nothing else to say.

"It's not the first time they have had a situation like this. The boys are incredible characters, they are used to being in negotiations and stuff like this.

"Gini's character is out of the question: he is a sensational guy, completely committed to the team and the club until the last day, and we'll see when it will be."
