Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is delighted with backstory of his defensive signings Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies.
The scouting department looked all across Europe but Davies stood out with Preston in the Championship and Klopp is excited to see how the left-field transfer works out.
When asked about Kabak and Davies, the German said: "Both have experience, yes Ozan is pretty young and Ben is slightly older with a different pathway but we don't have to see a Hollywood movie to see these stories.
"Yesterday at Preston, today at Liverpool, that is a good story already.
"We were always looking all over in each league in Europe. When I saw Ben it was really interesting, he played in the Championship, knows how to play a lot of games, more than training almost.
"I was a second division player myself and what we dreamed of was playing in the first league. It is a big opportunity for both sides. I am a big believer in taking chances and Ben sees it the same way."
Klopp went on: "This is a great chance for us and them. We expect more, every player has to make the team better and that is what we expect with the two boys as well."
