Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has played down talk of losing Gini Wijnaldum to Barcelona.
Barcelona are believed to be weighing up a move for Reds midfielder Wijnaldum who continues to stall over a new contract at Anfield.
Wijnaldum's departure would give Liverpool the necessary funds to lodge a bid for Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara, who is keen on a move to the Premier League champions.
"It's interesting because since Gini is here I've had 500-600 talks with him, pretty much. So that's exactly the same as always, nothing else to say about that," Klopp said at a press conference.
"Of course I speak to Gini, when he came back from international duty then we have a talk, that's always like this."
Asked to comment on the Thiago links, Klopp continued: "If I could invent a world now which would end speculation I think I could become really rich.
"Because I cannot end speculation as long as the transfer window is open."
"Did I mention that Thiago Alcantara is a really good player?" he joked. "Long ago already, so it's nice that we are linked with him but that's all really.
"It's because he's a good player, Liverpool is a big club so that's nice but apart from that nothing to say about it."
