Liverpool boss Klopp: Gomez a very special story

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is delighted counting on Joe Gomez ahead of tomorrow's clash with Leeds.

Gomez played at right-back for the win against Norwich City.

Klopp said, "He is a very special story. If I were Joe Gomez, it would be very difficult to deal with the situation because of the quality he has, the player he is and everybody loves him.

"With the difficult injury and a few things after that, and then getting covid-19 in a wrong moment, it made it difficult for him to get rhythm. I'm really happy about the performance [against Norwich]. For the first goal, he won the ball, passed and then from there we went.

"He played in his second most important position and it is very important he could play there. Trent [Alexander-Arnold] needed a break so it was important for us.

Some players are more used to starting than others but we all saw in the last few games that the changes we could make were massive and the influence the players had, and that is how it has to be.

"As long as we can use the squad like that, we will have a good chance of winning football matches."
