Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed face-to-face talks with Fernando Torres.

With Steven Gerrard having publicly pledge his future to the club, fans are now anxiously waiting on Torres to do the same.

"I met Torres last Wednesday in Ibiza, albeit briefly," said Hodgson.

"He told me the groin problem was not anything to worry about, it was something which would clear up with rest on holiday.

"We are hoping he will come back fit and well."
