Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish accepts their Premier League campaign has not been good enough.

Liverpool finish the campaign in eighth position in the Barclays Premier League table with a final tally of 52 points.

"We're not going to run away from the points tally," said Dalglish. "We'll stand up and face up to reality. We're not trying to hide behind anything and say the points tally is going to be satisfactory to anybody who works or supports Liverpool Football Club.

"I think the performances have been excellent in a lot of cases, but not the points tally. We'll try our best to correct that."
