Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is ready to firm up his interest in Ipswich Town striker Connor Wickham.
The Sun says Dalglish is after Ipswich wonderkid Wickham - but will have to battle with Sunderland.
Black Cats boss Steve Bruce is prepared to pay £8m for the striker, 18, while the Reds hoped to get him for £2m less.
Ipswich want £11.5m.
