Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is delighted with his capture of former Espanyol winger Albert Riera.

"He was a very important signing because we needed a man on the left wing who could open the field and unbalance the opposition. He is doing well," said Benitez.

"His experience at Manchester City was decisive for me making a decision on him."
