Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez wants to keep Scott Carson after selling fellow goalkeeper Charles Itandje to Galatasaray yesterday.

The Daily Mail says the Frenchman's move has scuppered Carson's chances of a permanent exit from Anfield.

Veteran Bordeaux goalkeeper Ulrich Rame, 35, has been mentioned but otherwise Rafa Benitez wants to keep hold of Carson.
