Liverpool board members are adamant they will not lose any of their top players this summer.
The Mirror says huge question marks have been raised about the future of not only manager Rafa Benitez, but star players Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Javier Mascherano, and even the financial prospects of the club itself.
Pepe Reina has already committed his long term future to Liverpool, and according to Benitez, Mascherano will follow shortly.
Sources with the boardroom suggested last night that Torres will also commit his future to the club, even if he does not get Champions League football.
Gerrard is a more complicated case, because as he approaches 30 there is an acceptance even amongst the club's support that a massive offer would be hard to turn down. But he has also indicated that European football is not his primary concern, but the long-term health of Liverpool.
