Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall is a target for Liverpool.
The Daily Star Sunday says the Anfield club have earmarked around £5million for a goalkeeper but have struggled to identify someone who can challenge current No.1 Simon Mignolet.
Marshall, 29, who was the subject of an offer from Everton last season, was previously linked with the Reds until Mignolet turned around his awful early-season form.
Liverpool have a limited summer budget but that could change if they sell forward Raheem Sterling.
