Liverpool to bid for Borussia Monchengladbach keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Liverpool are eyeing Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The People says Rodgers is unhappy with Pepe Reina and may trade the Spaniard in the January transfer window, but he has to find a replacement first.

Ter Stegen, 20, is at Borussia Monchengladbach and only narrowly missed out on Germany's Euro 2012 squad despite making his debut before the finals.

The tall, commanding youngster has made his name in the Bundesliga and has been watched by both Manchester United and Tottenham in the past - but now the Kop have moved in at the head of the queue.
